বারি শিম উফশী (Country Bean) is a high yielding variety of bush bean developed by Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI). It was released in 2011. The variety is resistant to bean rust and pod borer.

Cultivation method:
Soil: Well-drained sandy loam to loam soil with a pH of 6.0-7.0 is ideal for growing বারি শিম উফশী.
Sowing: Sow seeds directly in the field at a spacing of 20 cm x 10 cm.
Spacing: The spacing between rows should be 40 cm.
Manuring: Apply 10-15 t/ha of FYM and 100 kg/ha of TSP, 50 kg/ha of MP and 50 kg/ha of Gypsum as basal dose.
Irrigation: Irrigate the crop regularly to keep the soil moist.
Weeding: Weed the crop regularly to remove weeds.
Pests and diseases: The crop is susceptible to bean rust and pod borer. Apply appropriate pesticides to control the pests and diseases.
Harvesting: The pods are ready for harvest 55-60 days after sowing.
