Technique to improve seed germination in papaya
Papaya seeds germinate better at an alternate temperature of 20 and 32 0C. Soaking seeds in GA3 at 250 ppm for 48h. results in improved germination both under optimum and suboptimal temperatures (i.e. <30 0C).
To successfully germinate papaya seeds, remove the fleshy pulp, soak the seeds in warm water (40-50°C) for 4 hours, and then plant them in a well-draining, moist soil mix, ensuring they are kept warm and moist until germination order best papaya seeds
